Seecamp .32
Well I was a little surpized to find I had never written about the seecamp .32; especially considering I think as highly about it as I do say the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The Seecamp .32 is an ultra compact pistol which promises the stopping power of a .38 caliber pistol in a much more concealable package. Check out the link on their homepage to the Aker Express pocket holster.

Nintendo Wii
Well as I write this I am waiting in line for a Wii. Our local store got in 115 so we lucked out to stop by this morning and they were handing out tickets. I got number 109 and my wife got 110. This is the closest to Black Friday I will ever get but really it is quite well organized.

**We did manage to get them and again I have to comend target as they had it organized perfectly with two great security officers who kept everyone organized and informed. They processed all 115 in about 2 hours and I was very impressed.

The WEC did it again
Well the WEC had another amazing night of fights. Doug Marshall defended his 205 title by submitting Ariel Gandulla. I cant help but suspect that a true quality light heavyweight would roll through him but "Rhino" is an entertaining champion. Paolo Filho retained his 185 pound belt in what looked loke a sure but early stoppage of Chael Sonnen. Sonnen came out fighting a great fight keeping his distance from Filho and taking him down with frequency. Filho nearly caught him with a guillotine in the first which seemed to stem Sonnen's momentum and in the second when he took Filho down Filho made him pay with an arm bar. The ref stopped the fight when Sonnen let out a scream saying it was a verbal submission which Chael protested about for some time but hey like he said he shouldn't have allowed himself to be pit in that predicament. Because of all the stoppages we got to see a couple of good undercard matches as Charlie Valencia showed why hes still popular after all these years stopping Ian McCall in a knockdown, suplex, rear naked choke combination unlike any other I have seen. The other undercard bout featured Marcus Galvao who had been brought over from Japan to add some legitamacy to the 135 pound division which he did but in a loss to Brian Bowles. Having beat sherdogs number 2 makes for an interesting shakeup at 135 where Galvao and Miguel Torres were already ranked higher than Champion Chase Beebe. Finally Jens Pulver got to show his stuff at 145 punds against a very game Cub Swanson in what turned out to be a very quick finish for Jens. Uriah Faber got puched but defeated Jeff Curran in the second round of their matchup which means that we are probably looking at Faver taking on Pulver for the belt shortly down the line.

Nike Sumo2 Hybrids
Well I finally got around to adding to my collection of Nike golf clubs when I added a 2 and 3 hybrid. I havent had a chance to hit them except for a couple of shots I took yesterday but so far they are golden. On the last hole yesterday I was sitting about 150 out from the green which was elevated and used my 3 and ended up about 6 feet from the pin. Still choked the birdey put but hey I'm still a rookie.

Tom Tom building GPS for iPhone
Apparently there is a rumor running around that Tom Tom is creating a GPS module for the iPhone. I dont get my hopes up as I am still waiting for my damn iChat to surface. People are apparently adding fuel to the rumor fire by reminding us that Apple released the SDk to select companies ahead of time.

Galaxy ready to make another big move?
Well after last years additions of David Beckham and Abel Xavier I figured they had done most of their international aquisitions. Then they turned around and added Coach Ruud Gullit and I was certain they were done. Now we here in Los Angeles know London Donovan needs some help up front but going overseas and after Maciej "Magic" Zurawski of Celtic was much better than I could have imagined as he is yet another National team starter having played for Poland. He has been a scoring machine for Celtic having scored 16 two years ago and 10 last year. Hopefully all of this talent wil gel and we can get back where we belong in the MLS. The rewards are even better for the strong teams as Club World Championship and Superliga rewards await.

Ultimate Fight Night
Well I forgot to put a blip about it the other night but the Ultimate Fighter Finale was awesome Saturday night and it just is the begining of a solid week of fights. Roger Huerta was welcomed to legitamacy with his victory over Clay Guida by rear naked choke in the beginning of the third round. Honestly even though he was taking a beating through most of the fight just the fact he was able to stay with Clay had proved his legitamacy to me. Then in the third knowing he is down he turned on the gas and hit Guida with a punch knee combo that sent him to the mat and it was seconds when he was applying the choke that finished the fight. I know Huerta is despised by some for his popularity and has been titled the SI Cover Boy, actually I wonder if he gets on the cover this week with the win? The rest of the night the fights weren't of thew highest caliber but all were entertaining as most of the Finales have turned out to be. Mac Danzig proved his dominance in defeating Tommy Speer also by rear naked choke. Danzig did exactly what he had to do to win the fight againsta very scary opponent. He took tommy down, mounted him, made him turn with the pressure, and choked him out. It was the only scenario I could see him winning under and he got it done. As for Speer he has nothing but upside. I have a feeling he will be the guy Matt Hughes passes the torch to in the future as long as he gets god training, hammering a tire on the farm will only get you so far, he could definitely be a champ one day. As for Danzig he is moving down in weight to the firestorm that is the 155 pound division. Apparently Dana White had a big announcement at the end of the finale though neither my Tivo or my brothers recorded it and Rampage and Forrest will coach Tuf 7, which should be really entertaining. Also the UFC has stripped Sean Sherk of his 155 title after his suspension for steroids was cut but not overturned. And can I make one complaint why if Big John was retiring Saturday didnt they put him in the hall of fame? Dont forget to check out Zuffa's next offering Wedenesday as the WEC is putting on 3 title fights on Versus.

Massage Envy
Well I had the good fortune to go and get my first massage today, well my first professional one anyways. My wife and I went to a local Massage Envy. We enjoyed it so much we got a membership. Basically for $49.00 a month you get an hour and any additional hours are $39.00 compared to twice that for non members. I figure it will work out for our best and after today session it is worth it.

College Football Playoff - My Way
I was thinking how much it sucked to have Ohio State in the Championship again this year and was wondering if we implemented the 16 team playoff system that has been suggested and that everyone except for one commissioner from the big ten seems to want. If you took the conference champions and then added the additional highest 5 ranked teams in the BCS to round out your 16 this is what we would end up with;

(16) Bowling Green at (1) Ohio State
(15) Florida Atlantic at (2) LSU
(14) University of Central Florida at (3) Virginia Tech
(13) Brigham Young at (4) Oklahoma
(12) Florida at (5) Georgia
(11) Arizona St. at (6) Missouri
(10) Hawaii at (7) USC
(9) West Virginia at (8) Kansas

Assuming the top seeded team won every game though I doubt it especially with some of those matchups Florida vrs Georgia jumps out at me actually every game from the 5th seed on would be a battle but lets just say that these matchups held as they were seeded in the quarter finals we would get to see;

(8) Kansas at (1) Ohio State
(7) USC at (2) LSU
(6) Missouri at (3) Virginia Tech
(5) Georgia at (4) Oklahoma

Again some great matchups to see but for assumptions sake lets say all the favorites move to the semifinals.

(4) Oklahoma at (1) Ohio State
(3) Virgina Tech at (2) LSU

If we then got our matchup of LSU vrs. Ohio St nobody could complain. Ohio St would have to defeat Bowling Green, Kansas, and Oklahoma to get in 3 pretty solid victories. LSU would have to have gotten by Florida Atlantic, USC, and Virginia Tech again a pretty tough assignment. Basically you'd have to get through a tough bunch of teams to make the finals and definitely will have earned your way through. If you really wanted to make it tough you could reseed after every round so if one of the underdogs did make it through they would be playing one of the top teams in the second round. It would be tough to be a CInderella in this setup but if you were you'd be a legit champion something we havent seen in a while. The Championship would be played at a neutral site with all the appropriate hoopla.
