Million Dollar Homepage
My buddy turned me on to the Million Dollar Homepage and this is amazing. Turns out a starving college student in England was brainstorming how to make a quick buck one night when he came up with the idea for the site. He sells space on his page for $1 a pixel. Turns out he the sold the first spaces to friends and was then able to do some advertising which people caught wind of and now he nearly has the page full and a million dollars in the bank.

Friggin iTunes is going to ruin my life!
You all know I have no willpower when it comes to my purchases and frickin iTunes makes it way to easy to spend money. Well first they send me an email every tuesday giving me ideas on how to spend my money, and so today I get in the email that Jack Johnson has released a live video album which I have to have, Commander in chief has been added to the shows I can download, want to get caught up on that, and the Strokes new album is coming out on Jan 3rd. I really think they are trying to take every last penny I have.

My Bandwidth
Not that anyone cares except for me and my host but I notice I am starting to get tons of hits to my Lindsay Lohan nip slip picture. I my have to close it again as I did before when they threatened to lock out my site because of bandwidth. Im not sure how many of these visitors actually click through to the rest of the site but at least it draws them in.

Comet Skateboards
I saw this company on Current last night and it seems like a pretty cool operation. They are very environmentally friendly being conscientious about the process they use to build their boards. They even use tons of solar power to run their shop. The boards are top notch using a combination of bamboo and carbon fiber to buld a really strong deck that lasts much longer than most. Check out their site at CometSkateboards.com.

Kumasi
I was watching current and they had a pod on Kumasi a rapper from Compton who raps with a purpose. A devout Muslim he was disappointed with the image rap was prtaying of African Americans. Apparently he hasnt released an album yet but keep an eye out for him. I think he is going to be a refreshing air much like Matisyahu was for reggae.

Yahoo Maps Beta
Well it doesnt happen often but they improved on something I already love. The new yahoo maps is really cool. I love that it combines multiple destinations so far instance like tonight I am going to a focus group so I put in their adress and then my home address and I have my itinerary for the evening mapped out. I also like that when you put in an address it will give you the stores at that address which is handy for when I forget to put something in the old checkbook and look it up later.

Stanley "Tookie" Williams
I dont know why but the execution of Tookie Williams bothered me so much. I guess because here was a guy who could actually be shown to have done something positive in his life in jail. It just seemed like killing him accomplished nothing. Why is Charles Manson allowed to live and Tookie is executed. Arnorld in my opinion took the political way out and not that I respected him a lot before this I will now vote against his ass for sure.
My Weekend
Well it was a hectic weekend as we had my daughters birthday party and work xmas party on saturday. Then on Sunday went to Mass, took the girls to see Chronicles of Narnia which was great and then saw the musical Cats at the Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities. Had a good time but I was spent by the itme it was over.

Motorola Razr
Well I finally broke down and got my Razr for Cingular. So far I'm impressed with the phone it wirks really well and anyone would like the form factor. Now I am trying to decide if I want to replace my treo 600 for a razr so it wont be such a pain carrying two cell phones all the time. I am sybcing it with my outlook contacts and calendar using Mobile Phone Tools. Seems to work okay but the contacts can get kind of unruly compared to a smart phone.

Football Fans
A Chargers Fan starts a new job at a school in San Diego and, trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she's a Chargers fan. She asks the class to raise their hands if they too are Charger fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.
The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says, "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?"
"Because I'm not a Chargers fan," she replies.
The teacher, still shocked, asks, "Well, if you're not a Chargers fan, then who do you support?"
"I'm a Broncos fan and proud of it." Mary replies.
The teacher could not believe her ears. "Mary, why are you a Broncos fan?"
"Because my mom and dad are from Denver and my mom is a Broncos fan and my dad is a Broncos fan, so I'm a Broncos fan, too!"
"Well," says the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a Broncos fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict and a car thief, what would you be then?"
Mary says, "I'd be a Raiders fan."

Korn - See you on the other side
Well I am finding myself more disappointed with each new album. I actually liked the Twisted Transistor single because it was kind of funky but figured they would have some killer aggression tracks on the album as the keep promising. No such luck. All I can figure that with the huge piles of money it must be harder and harder to come up with angst ridden powerhouses. This album unfortunately continues the softening trend that Korn has been following. In a lot of ways it almost borders on some pop.
Twisted Transistor - Good - Funky first single of the album
Politics - OK - Has a kind of Untouchables feel to it but even more polished
Hypocrites - Good - Not as brutal as I would prefer but it rocks
Souvenir - Blah - Too slow for my taste
10 or a 2-way - Blah - Again too slow they're sapping my energy
Throw me away - Blah - A ballad? Korn shouldn't do ballads...
Love Song - Blah - Love song Korn shouldn't do.....
Open Up - Blah - Too slow again
Coming Undone - Blah - Same as the rest
Getting Off - Blah - I am tired of writing the same damn thing
Liar - OK - Blah - They start to pick up tha pace a lil
For No one - Blah - At the begining I thought they were going to crank it up.. disappointed
Seen it All - Blah - Cool sound but again not cutting it
Tearjerker - Good - Ballad again but has an eary emotional side to it.
Inside Out - OK - Slow song but it has a good quality to it...

George Carlin on Life
"I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death. What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch and you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You date, party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities. You become a little baby, you go back into the womb, spend your last nine months floating... and you finish off as an orgasm". Now that's a life!

HK Drive+Play Part 2
Well I finally got the old HK Drive+Play installed today. My neighbor is crafty at that crap and hooked it up quite nicely. Now Im anxious to get my wheels back on my car so I can get the old xB back in decent shape. The install took about an hour, we mounted the display over the rear view mirror, the remote next to the hand brake, and the iPod connection in the lil drawer in the dash. He put the brain in the space behing my head unit. It looks pretty cleam amd is an easy way to control ones iPod not to mention the sound is great.

Mac Mini Media Center?
Well the buildup for the Mac Mini at the upcoming MacWorldExpo in January is huge. It is expected to be The media hub that other computers try to be. According to ThinkSecret.com the mac mini will feature an intel processor, front row 2.0, and Tivo like DVR. The new Mac mini is also said to sport a built-in iPod dock. Apple has the clout I think to move into the living room with ease lets cross our fingers and see.
