Def Jam Fight for NY for Xbox Warning this is a spoiler
After having been a recent slave to Halo 2 it was nice to get a break and get sucked into a new game. While I never would have thought to have purchased Def Jam Fight for NY it was entertaining. Now first off let me say that this game is not for the squimesh as the violence is pretty brutal. The story is that you are an up and coming street fighter in the NY fight club circuit dominated by two "clubs". You arch nemesis is the character "Crow" played by Snoop Dogg. As you fight your way up you can score bling in the form of Hip Hop icon clothes, tattoos, and jewelry. After climbing up to the top and destroying Crow's clubs he kidnaps your girl and forces you to fight for him. After you have taken most of the clubs You finally cant take it anymore and rebel beating up a couple of his henchmen. The finale puts you up against crow and you win by throwing him out of a window and to his death rescuing your girl and your original clubs fame. The story is short and I'm sure that the game is geared more for beating the crap out of your friends than it is for the storyline but really this is more of a rental game than a purchase. I was disappointed there was no xbox live compnent as I could see where it would be fun to set up fights online. Maybe in the next version.

Linkin Park and JZ
Well Linkin Park has once again completed a really cool project. Check out http://www.lpjz.com/ to check out their next DVD/CD release of their work with Jay-Z for the MTV show MTV Ultimate Mash UPS. Heard most of the songs tonight and the album seems pretty good. Check it out. On another LP note I reupped for LP Underground again, yes thats year 4 for me and actually the club. They usually send out some good stuff so I look forward to seeing what we get this year.

Thanksgiving Humor
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed.
Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said, "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."
John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"
Halo 2
Well I finally finished Halo 2 so I can give a fairly descent asessment now. The game is still awesome. I had heard in the forums that the ending was cheap but I thought it ws just another good segway into the sure to be coming Halo 3! The story of this game was far superior tot he original Halo. The dual storylines made it far more interesting to me. It also opens up similar or even broader storylines for the next chapter.
The best part is that after finishing the game I didnt have to deal with the post finish depression. Now I have xbox live so I can play online and get all of my aggression out. The online play seems really good to me. The servers hickup sometimes but not enough that it seems problematic to me. All in all I really have no complaints about the game.

- Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira Vs. Fedor Emelianenko - This would be great to finalize the grand prix.
- Hidehiko Yoshida Vs. Rulon Gardner - I would be surprised to see Gardner. Judo versus wrestling would e interesting though Greco Roman wrestling isnt real exciting
- Mirko CroCop Vs. Mark Hunt - K1 all over again Guranteed to be a stand up fight for sure.
- Gomi or Mishima Vs. Jens Pulver - This would make a great lil man fight but it seems inconsequential without BJ Penn.

Halo 2
Well Halo 2 came out yesterday in a way not umlike other Microsoft Products in a marketing hail storm. While I was busy pulling another all nighter at work and couldn't show up at the midnight madness like zillions of other halo nerds I did pick up my copy on the way home from work and have hardly turned off the old xbox since. The game itself seems far more realistic. The guns act more like real world guns. The games story is better and I find the graphics to be more entertaining as well. It seems like the really opened up the worlds that function in Halo. The game has two different story lines. One as our old friend the master chief and another as a new alien. While I havent played it all the way through here is what I have seen. You start off on a hip hovering over Earth when the covenant attack. You fight your way off the ship and then onto Earth. From there you fight your way through the covenant and in pursuit jump on another ship chasing a prophet. Then Bam you play the other character in Halo 2 an alien who has been labeled a Heretic for losing the first Halo. After severe torture and nearly death he is called in to see the prophet who tells him he must go after a true heretic. The mission is on a small installation where you fight heretics who are living in a swarm infested station. The fighting is interesting from the other perspective. It is a lil hard as you really have to pay attention or else your shoot guys from your team as the only difference between good and bad is a red sight picture versus a green sight picture. There is an awesome sequence where you get to dogfight with some covenant ships. Finally when you kill the heretic leader your back as the master chief on another Halo! This game is awesome. Get it while you can it is worth every penny. Not to mention the copy I got had two free months of xbox live which I have yet to try out and was planning on buying anyways. I expect at least for the time being to be huge numbers of people on line playing this game. If you think Im overzealous they sold 2.4 million units in 24 hours, racking up $125 million yesterday!!!!

Lotus in the States
:) Now I have been a fan of Lotus for quite some time now. The have the exoticness of a supercar at a much cheaper price. Now the Lotus USA site has come up with a car configurator at last. Of course the only dealer in California is in Redwood City which is in Northern California but hey the spread into the states is getting there slowly but surely. What a weekend
:crazy:Well its nearly 2:00 in the morning and I have now been at work since 6:00am which means I have been at work for 20 hours running with no end in sight. We were supposed to be doing a double upgrade on our as400 and then copy over to our new as400. Guess what old Mr Murphy decided to visit and after all the planning and work that goes into these projects we are still on the first upgrade. Oh well I knew the job was dangerous when I took it.
Spent Friday night watching my nephews game against North Torrance, who is widely regarded as the favorite to win their CIF division this year, and it was ugly. North took it to Lawndale and the final was 42-9. My nephews team Lawndale was eliminated from the playoffs last week when they lost to Torrance High but Im sure the role of spoiler didn't escape the team this week. Next wek they have Centeniel who hasnt won a game all season so hopefully things will start looking up and they can close the season on a high note.
I saw on Thatsjustnotright.com that Tara Reid not only outsid everyones recent nip slips with a full on boob slip. She gave an interesting discourse afterwards on how she was a changed women and didn't want this kind of attention anymore. I for one am not convinced and while it must suck to have tons of pictures taken of you with a boob hanging out, she put herself in that kind of limelight and needs to suck up and deal with it. Oh well til later!

Lack of Posting
I bet you nearly half of my entries have some claim to a lack of posting but hey I actually have an excuse this time. Actually speaking of excuses I heard an awesome saying the other day and that life has accomplishments and excuses and only the accomplichments count. So I'll just let you know that I have been slow to post because my computer at home has been dead. Sucks and I cant find the restore disks so who knows when i'll get it fixed. Im able to post tonight because Im deleting files off our mainframe and we have dsl at work so Im able to catch up.
Pride was this past weekend and while I didnt get to watch it yet I understand it was awesome. I was excited about Silva vr.s Rampage but things remain the same and Silva is definitely still the man. Im convinced that Silva is to Pride what Couture is to UFC and that is that in their elements they are pretty much unstoppable.
My week pretty much was rough, Thursday I was at a buddys house drafting for a fantasy basketball league and on my way home I hit a dog and killed it. Did a lil damage to my car but what killed me was when the owner showed up to pick up his pup. Found out the next day that I was lucky I went back because in California you can be charged for hit and run if you dont and the dog has tags, which this one did. There was a guy and his girl? who waited for the owner with me which I thought was cool although they might have been just making sure I hung around as they were a lil concerned when I didn't immediately turn around and flagged me down. I was still a lil shaken up about hitting the dog. So that was definitely a shitty way to end a Thursday.
Friday went to watch my nephews game which didnt go well. They lost to Torrance though my nephew got a chance to play both sides of the ball and did pretty well on D considering he hadnt had much time there.
