Sunday, September 20, 2009UFC 103Well while last nights card was a little lacking on star power it turned out to be a good night of fights. First I was thrilled Spike put the undercard fights on spike. All in all we got to see every fight on the card for a change. The production was a lil rough to start out. The first 3 seconds of the first fight was stuck like a broken record for a minute and in the second fight the simulcast was running simultaneously. But all a good card. So on to the fights! Junior Dos Santos had no fear coming in with Mirko CroCop and proceeded to dominate throughout the three round affair. Dos Santos earned an immediate step up in competition maybe evan a title shot though I suspect Dana and Joe will want to square him off with another gatekeeper. Vitor Belfort looked as good as he has his last several fights. People might think Dana is crazy for talking about squaring him up with Anderson Silva but he cleared out top middleweight Matt Linland in Affliction and now Rich Franklin so he's definitely the most qualified to face Anderson. The other big winner of the night would have to be Tyson Griffin as he was great in his knockout victory over Hermes Franca. Tyson shouldn't be more than a couple of fights from a title shot now as this was a big step up for him. All in all it was a solid night of entertaining fights... posted @ 08:31 AM PST [link] [Karma: 5 (+/-)] Saturday, September 5, 2009Blackberry CurveWell after a hellish month of trying to get Sprint to work out the ops team pulled the plug and we went back to Verizon. I wanted to make sure we had a stable solution so I decided to go full on Blackberry with the Blackberry Professional Server and Blackberry Curves for our smart phone users. I had messed around with a Storm for a while but have to admit I like having the hardware keyboard better with Blackberry.
