Exercise Update
Didn't make it to the gym this morning, However did make it to ride my bike around San Pedro. Ate Oatmeal for breakfast so my start wasn't bad. Actually I enjoyed the ride so I will probably stick to that for a while. 160 pounds here I come!

Gotta Lose Weight
Well my time for excuses is up. I had been putting off working out because of school. I wanted to find a place to swim and a local bally's where I think I can go with my membership has a pool. I always liked swimming because it is a full body workout and cardio at the same time. I am also going to try going vegan and see how my weight loss goes. I am going to start tomorrow wish me luck!

My Dream House
My dream house is actually really close to my current house. Something about this house has always attracted my attention. I dont know if it is just the modern design of it or what! I actually got to see the inside when my wife went to clean it for a friend one day, does that make me a house stalker? The interior design is not exactly how I would have set it up as the bedrooms are on the second floor and the living room is on the third floor, but it works for entertaining.

Larry King Radio Show with Erin Runnion
I heard some very compelling radio last night as Larry King interviewed Erin Runnion, mother of Samantha who was killed this week by that sick freak who should be executed but by boiling! ANyways, her interview last night was just compelling. She talked about having to go out and search for her daughter even though she knew it was futile. She talked about jumping on peoples cars trying to find her daughter after hearing her imagined cry. It tore my heart out but at the sam time just amazed me to hear such a strong woman give such a compelling interview the day she buried her daughter. There are some people who just continue to amaze me and she is one of them. Her strength should serve as a model for the rest of us god hope we dont have to endure what she went through.

2002 NT7 Asteroid.
This is the graphic of the asteroid that potentially could end life on Earth. Now that I got your attention, read the article.
Astronomers said Wednesday that they are keeping close watch on a newly discovered 1.2 mile-wide asteroid to determine whether it will collide with Earth in 2019.
There is a slight chance that the asteroid, dubbed 2002 NT7, could smack the Earth on Feb. 1, 2019, causing a global catastrophe. Astronomers said the odds were one in 250,000 and further calculation would probably show it will miss the planet entirely.
It now heads the list of asteroids and comets monitored by NASA ( news - web sites) but as scientists learn more it isn't expected to stay there.
"One way or another, this thing is coming off the risk page," said Donald Yeomans, manager of NASA's near-Earth object program office at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Astronomers with the Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research Project used a New Mexico telescope to discover the space rock on July 9, when it was about 84 million miles from Earth. It is in orbit around the sun.
More than 100 follow-up observations allowed astronomers to calculate six other potential impact dates — in 2044, 2053, 2060 and 2078.
The asteroid will remain in the sights of astronomers for another year at least, allowing them to further refine their estimates of its trajectory on its 837-day orbit.
Pride Demolition
Watched Pride Demolition and it was awesome results were:
Bob Sapp defeated Kiyoshi Tamura by KO (Strikes) 0:11 1R
Gary Goodridge defeated Arhmed Labazanov by Decision (1-2)
Anderson Silva defeated Alex Steibling by TKO 1:23 1R
Jerermy Horn defeated Gilbert Yvel by Decision (3-0)
Shungo Oyama defeated Renzo Gracie by Decision (3-0)
Emelianenko Fedor defeated Semmy Schilt by Decision (3-0)
Don Frye defeated Yoshihiro Takayama by TKO (Strikes) 6:10 1R
Horn versus Yvel was very exciting but nothing could hold a light to Frye and Takayama who laid it all on the line. This is one of the best fights I have seen. If you get a chance watch the show!
Kim Higley does it again
Kim Higley my buddy from work did really well again in another bodybuilding show. She took first and second in bodybuilding and fitness. I'll correct the order once I am sure. We are talking about even possibly building her a website. Should be cool!
WWE Raw
Well maybe I was a little harsh on the WWE yesterday. The show still isn't quite where I would liek to see it but it did come alot further. The only thing I didn't like was the WCW feel of the show. The pace was very WCW, and the feel was very WCW including the moving of the announce team and the bench even felt like old WCW. The matches tonight were awesome. RVD vr.s Jeff Hardy in the ladder match was great to unify the Intercontinental and European Titles. The Undertaker seems to be turning face again. He attacked Harvard Boy and Brock Lesnar both tonight. Booker T had a great loss to Chris Benoit to see who would face RVD for the Unified Intercontinental Title. The Next Big Thing signed with Smackdown so It will be interesting what they have planned there. HHH blindsided HBK after they led us on to believe that they were restarting DX. More to come there I am sure. Overall it was a good show and I am curious to see what they will do with some of their storylines now. With Brock and Rey Mysterio coming to Smackdown should be interesting.

WWE Vengeance
Well I finally think I have reached a point where wrestling just isn't cutting it anymore. Its not the old didn't you know it was fake thing because of course everyone with some semblance of sense does. WWE was comparable to a soap opera for me. I liked the plot twists and such. Now it seems so stale. What they should do to fix it!
::Give each brand its own titles. It would give back the continuity that is gone.
::Dont spend all the energy of the show on developing the newbies. Another one of the issues they have now is that they have so much new talent that they need to devote time to, that they cant dedicate time to changing storylines as well.
::Kill the rivalry gig between the two shows. It worked well, almost, with the alliance because they were on the same shows together!
::Build up the damn tag teams again. They have really killed this division when they could use it most. Give some of the guys their props in this division and let it build itself up. This might also be a good way to promote up some of the younger guys who need to have their characters built up.
The shows have potential. The dual branding crap sucks to a certain degree as it takes a lot of the continuity and spontaneity away from the shows. If they really want to seperate the shows they really should seperate them wioth different titles to go around and such. Trying to be its own competition is going to kill the WWE.
The pay per view had some good matches. The title match was great but who would have guessed otherwise. The Triple H angle is the one item of interest to me in the whole damn federation right now. Cena and Jericho had a great match. So did Lesnar and RVD. People might wine that Cena and Lesnar have been pushed too fast, Im holding out judgement on Lesnar but disagree about Cena. Lesnar hgas yet to get any significant mike time. His presence carries him but for how far? Sure they could sell him as champ but who wants a champ who can't work the mike at all.
::The Dudley's beat Benoit & Guerrero - Okay match. Benoit and Guerrero should be doing singles matches though and others should be playing the tag game.
All sorts of stuff!
For those of you who listen to lots of operah, I don't, let me tell you one singer who i am enjoying. He's a cross of Andrea Bocelli and Moby in that he has an operah voive with a mixture of cool music. check out Alessandro Safina.
In UFC news there were two slammers one official and the other potential. Jens Pulver has left the UFC and abandoned his lightweight title in the meantime to seek other opportunites. Mainly he is going after Alexandre Nogueira and Takanori Gomi. Nogueira is the best little man in the world, a title Pulver would love to take and couldn't when tied down by the UFC. Gomi is the next best at 155 according to Maxfighting.com. Pulver apparently feels he will make more money off of these fights and will be able to retire. Doesn't sound like he had much more to gain in the UFC. In other UFC news Josh Barnett is being called back to Nevada to explain to officials about some steroids that turned up in his post fight blood test.
Also from Maxfighting:
After a planned conference call resolution fell through, UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett is now scheduled to speak with the Nevada State Athletic Commission in person on July 26 to discuss allegations and possible repercussions, if any, of the illegal steroids found in his post-fight urinalysis following his bout versus Randy Couture last March.
What if they strip him of his title does that mean that Ricco vr.s Coulture will be a title bout?

Free at Last!
Well I just emailed my take home final to my Humanities professor. Thats it besides getting some more paperwork out of the way my college career is done. At least the undergrad stuff. I am beat now so I am not too exuberant.
Friday we spent all day at Disneyland. Talk about a money pit I knew that the place was expensive but we went cheap and it still cost us close to 400.00. Oh well we had a good time. The in laws seemed to have a blast.
Watched the Robin Williams comedy special on HBO today and he was awesome. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to bust my gut open. Especially when he does his muff diving imitation. Trust me it has to be seen.
I should have webczar.org up sometime this week probably in the next couple of days so I need to look for some good apps to have on my website. I am going to try and not mess up DMDewar.com! I hope to create a mini portal but we will see what I have available to me to use.

Surviving
Well last week turned out ot be the week from hell. Between my Dad being sick, first we thought he had Hepititis A and were going to have to vaccinate my daughters and then he was admitted apparently with another bout of pancreatitis. It was my second to last week of school and I have a lot on my plate at work.
Okay enough bitching, WWE was pretty bad last night especially Trish's match as they missed about three moves including Trish's finisher. Makes me wonder did they move up Jackie too fast? Also looks like Nash's first night fighting on television in three months looks like it will be his last for a while as well. he went down in the main event with what seemed to be a knee injury. In actuality it was a quad tear. The following was on the WWE.com site
Kevin Nash update
After being examined by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., today, it was determined that Kevin Nash has torn his left quadriceps muscle. Nash will be undergoing surgery today; it is unknown for how long he will be out of action. WWE.com hopes to receive a further update tonight after the surgery.
My Buddy Kim
My buddy Kim Higley from work has been killing herself staying in shape for a bunch of fitness competitions. She works as a dietician at the hospital I work at. She is the buff one to the right. This pic came off of the bodybuilding.com website when she competed in the 2001 NPC California Collegiate Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships. She took 2nd in the lightweight womens open.

WWE mimicks UFC Part II
Well I had commented on reading about Kurt Angle using a triangle choke in his title match against the undertaker on Thursday's Smackdown. Well the end of the match had serious tones of a UFC match more so than I imagined from reading. The way it came down was like this Taker had Angle set up for the "last ride" and Kurt put him in a "Triangle Choke" and an "Arm Bar" which almost looked legit. They had the arm bar right but you could see the triangle wasn't sinched in. Well Taker fell to his knees and Angle had his shoulders on the mat. When Angle arched his back the ref counted to three as Taker tapped on Angles leg, not a typical WWE tap more like a UFC tap. Of course then they couldn't decide who won, declared the match a draw, and the show ended.
At first I wondered if this would hurt the UFC by giving it more of an air of entertainment and less sport. However I imagine it wouldn't hurt making the UFC maneuvers more main stream introducing them to fans who may not have an idea what was going on. It is the submission side of MMA that confuses casual fans and this may be an alternate way to educate them. We'll see if Angle continues to use Jiu Jitsu style moves on the show. One has to wonder if he isn't a fan of MMA or if it was the idea of one of the writers.

Hope your Fourth of July was Great
Well our hate crime / terrorist crime yesterday seems to have created more questions than answers over the last 24 hours. The man was egyptian and had been pissed off because his neighbor hung a US and Marine Corp Flag off his balcony. This fucker was living in Irvine and owned a Limousine business, if he got pissed off by our flag, get the fuck out! Unfortunately that looks to be exactly what he did yesterday as he was gunned down at El Al counter at LAX after killing two people. You know if someone hates are country so fucking much why do they stay here and live off the same system they hate so god damn much. There is nothing that pisses me off more than a hy[pocrite and this guy was a hypocrite who killed. I agree with my dads approach wrap any terrorists ass in pigskin so that they cant go to allah, That way we eliminate the one reason they have for doing this shit. Now I understand that this may have been one random event that this guy was whacked and decided to comit. The differences to me are nil. I was watching the news yesterday after this all went down and the newscaster was shocked at how calm a woman from El Al was when he was talking to her, guess what buddy, unfortunately they are somewhat used to this shit! People are surprised at how well the security guards at El Al handled this situation yesterday, its called heavy duty training. You get what you pay for in other words. These guys were trained by experts who honestly believed that there might not be enough time for police to respond to protect them and thus they had people sufficiently trained to protect them there. Israel knows well aboiut the reward good security can pay and showed it off yesterday. Unfortunately until the United States starts to mimick Israels methods of security, we will probably never be safe!

WWF going UFC
I was fascinated that the title match from tonights Smackdown had this parralel to the Newton-Hughes match last time around and thought the terminolgy was interesting as it is new to the WWE. This excerpt is from the smackdown spoiler:
This time, Taker kicked Angle away and grabbed his opponent for a chokeslam! Angle kicked out, and Taker signaled for the Last Ride. But Angle grabbed on to Taker's head and came down with the Dead Man in a Triangle Choke. Angle squeezed his legs to cut off Taker's air. It looked like Taker was about to tap out, but Angle's shoulders hit the mat.
There are lots of parralels between what the UFC and WWE do as far as entertainment value. Of course the WWE is just entertainment and the UFC is real fighting but the parralels are over the place especially in the intros. On one hand I think it would do a disservice to UFC if WWE started mimicking it but on the other hand everyone knows whats up with wrestling now days so it may work out to be just some free promotion for MMA fighting.

Whats New
Well my dad has taken ill again and his over protective "not a bad thing" physician has admitted him to the hospital for the long weekend. Your prayers are appreciated. He is okay but has some stuff going on that the dcoctors have yet to figure out. He is stuck because they want to monitor him and make sure his condition doesn't get more serious but they also dont want to screw up their weekend by coming in and doing his procedure on Friday. Must be nice to be on the doctors side of the coin.
I ugraded to SUSE professional last night. It was a easy an install as personal and it offers me a lot more options as far as servers and such that I didn't have on personal. Again I reiterate that this version of Linux is a potential windows competitor as it is out of the box. It recognized all of my hardware, was able to set up my printer with an already installed driver and was essentially seemless. I hope that more people catch on to this as I would love to see Microsoft have to deal with some real competition.

New Kyocera Smartphone
The new Kyocera Smartphone looks awesome. I really would like to get a chance to play with this sucker and see if it holds up better than the 6035. It strikes me as an awesome design but you know how these things dont always come to fruition as they are advertised. This phone is a flip phone which eliminates one of my primary complaints about the 6035 which is it's size. The 7135 is also a color model which looks awesome. The press release says;
The Kyocera 7135 features a small, lightweight clamshell design and CDMA2000 1X technology that enables data speeds of up to 153 kbps. The Kyocera 7135 also offers a high-resolution screen with 65,000 colors, Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology, and an expansion card slot compatible with both MultiMediaCard(TM) (MMC) and SD(TM) card standards, allowing users to add memory, specialized applications or accessories. An onboard MP3 player lets users download and listen to songs in CD-quality stereo sound, while a separate external display allows for caller-ID while the phone is "closed."
The Kyocera 7135 also incorporates a speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, silent vibrating alert, two-way SMS text messaging, Eudora(R) email, and three modes of Web access (HTML, Web Clipping and WAP).
School is good.
Well the summer session is wrapping up finally and things are looking good in my management class. In the management game we came out tied for first in our world. This was a pretty good comeback for our team who had floated as low as third. Our world was very competitive all the way through. While the prof says we tied it was actually .99 for the other team and .97 for our team so we were a little disappointed though he says it was cumulative and we were down a lot at the begining of this fiscal year. I am ahead of the game in my Humanities class but dont know where I stand as far as a grade yet as we have not gotten our midterms back yet. Work is going well it has been pretty calm lately. Well it is time to start my teams annual report so I will get back to you.
