Finding Nemo
Did my fatherly duty and went and watched Finding Nemo with the kids. I am becoming a fan of Pixar as it doesn't really seem that painful to have a good family movie every once in a while. Nem was visually really good and the story was entertaining. I know it is getting good reviews but hey you never know sometimes that is the kiss of death for any movie I go to see. My older daughter wants to go see Charlie's Angels but I am not sure if it won't be a little too racy for her. We'll see if I take the conservative route or if I am going to be the cool Dad. Anyways if you have to take a kid to a movie Finding Nemo is a good option.

Galaxy Game
Went to the Galaxy Game last night with my father in law. I really enjoyed it yet which is no big surprise but I really didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did after having just been at the stadium on Sunday to Watch Guatemala versus Honduras. The game was the Galaxy versus the Burn of Dallas and even though there were probably less people than the last game the ambience was much better as the fans seemed to be much more involved in the game. The Galaxians and some other group which sits in another corner make tons of noise to keep things interesting. The Galaxy didn't disappoint scoring 3 goals and allowing none staying in third place but hey they put on a good game. I am hoping to catch some more games this season and since we sat on the field end seats the game was no less exciting. In fact it may have been more exciting. Sitting behind the goal makes play that much more exciting when play is at your end and the other time when we sat at the half field mark we were never near the excitement. All in all it was a good time.

Kevin and Bean in the Morning
Well today was a particularly interesting Best of show. One of the topics they covered was real dolls which are apparently life sized Barbies for men and women. They pinned it on Doc who does the news whom apparently had been saving or printing pictures of a doll with some optional hardware ala hemaphrodite. Well at least Doc came clean and admitted to having printed the pictures for comic value.

I am going to the KROQ Studios to pick up my tickets for the Galaxy game. It really doesnt look like much from the outside but I'll see if I can't snap some interesting photos.

James Bond Humor
James Bond walks into a bar and takes a seat next to a very attractive woman. He gives her a quick glance, then casually looks at his watch for a moment. The woman notices this and asks, "Is your date running late?" "No," he replies, "Q has just given me this state-of-the-art watch. I was just testing it." The intrigued woman says, "A state-of-the-art watch? What's so special about it?" Bond explains, "It uses alpha waves to talk to me telepathically." The lady says, "What's it telling you now?" "Well, it says you're not wearing any panties . . . " The woman giggles and replies, "Well, it must be broken because I am wearing panties!" Bond smirks, taps his watch and says, "Bloody thing's an hour fast."

What about the Music
I was pondering about the interesting state of music and how it seems that good musicians seem to be able to reincarnate themselves. For example a couple of bands that seem interesting to me now are the new Velvet Revolver which features Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots with the band from Guns and Roses. Another interesting example is Audioslave which features the band from Rage Against the Machine with Chris Cornell who formed Soundgarden. It really does seem to give added significance to the band and not the singer with good bands with new singersworking out quite well. Now of course I understand that both of these examples had two superstar singers so maybe Im just wasting type but hey seems interesting how both these superbands have worked so well so far. Almost makes you wonder what could be next.

An Interesting evening
Well it was an interesting evening tonight. Went to dinner with my brother and his wifes family. I always find it interesting to go out with them because of the cultural differences and the fact that they are all wonderful people to hang out with. My brothers father in law is a station manager for Northwest Airlines in Korea and he was out here on business and was visiting his brother and mother here in Orange County. We went to his borthers business, and then to visit his mother, my sister in laws grandmother in a home for the aging, and then we went to dinner at a chinese resturant. Dinner was great and everyone seemed to have a great time. Hopefully we'll all be able to get together again this week before my brothers in laws go back to Korea.

Me and my father in law at the game!
Me and my father in law at the game! Well it has been an exciting few past days. Saturday the family and I went to visit some family friends up in Ventura. It was a fun day. Sunday I tool my father in law to see Guatemala play Honduras at the new Home Depot Center at my university. The game was fun even though Guatemala lost. Today at work I was listening to Kevin and Bean in the morning on KROQ when they gave away tickets for the Galaxy game. Guess what I won and me and the father in law are going again this weekend.

Watched Raw tonight, Tivo is awesome, and was surprised that they decided to unmask Kane. Must be a colossal story line change in store for him. I'm curious to see if they remask him or not. The sendoff for Foley was nice, minus the attack they threw on him. The rest of the show tonight was pretty strong and look forward to see how they develop the strys from here on. Until later!

Got a good joke today
I was happy. My girlfriend and I were dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream!

There was only one thing bothering me, quite a lot, and that was my mother-in-law to be. She was a career woman, smart, but most of all beautiful and sexy, who sometimes flirted with me, which made me feel uncomfortable. One day she called me and asked me to come over to check the wedding
invitations. So I went.

She was alone, and when I arrived, she whispered to me, that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. So before I got married and committed my life to her daughter, she wanted to make love to me just once.

What could I say? I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. So, she said, I'll go to the bedroom, and if you are up for it, just come and get me. I stood there for a moment, and then turned around and went to the front door...I opened it, and stepped out of the house. Her husband was standing outside, and with tears in his eyes, hugged me and said, we are very happy and pleased, you have passed our little test. We couldn't have asked for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.

And the Moral of the story:

Always keep your condoms in your car

Miscellaneous Stuff
Well nothing real exciting to tell you about as of late. I am looking forward to going to the Guatemala vrs Honduras game this Sunday at the new Home Depot Center. The stadium looks awesome and it is on my alma mater's campus so I have watched it get built.

WWE Raw was pretty entertaining on Monday after the big pay per view on Sunday. I was not surprised to see them split up Kane and RVD but I was surprised to see them Push Kane into a title match last night. I am glad they are apparently going to work these two and I'm sure RVD will be getting a push shortly.

My buddy sent me a web page which has a Honda ad on it which is really cool. Check it out at http://home.attbi.com/~bernhard36/honda-ad.html . I found it entertaining!

Life in General and other fun stuff
Well I got to watch bits and pieces of the most recent Pride fighting championship and is was awesome as usual. I am getting to the point where I really favor Pride over UFC because of the way the rules are set up. Maybe because it allows for more barbaric fighting but I really like the fact you can kick or knee a downed opponent whereas in IFC you cannot. I think the fact that you cant in UFC gives a certain advantage to a guy who is a ground guy and needs to recover some after getting rocked.

Watched WWE Bad Blood yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the show since it was the first brand specific pay per view, meaning only wrestlers from RAW performed. While I think in the long run it will be better for the brands to have seperate shows, it was kind of a rough transition for RAW since they went first. The Dudley Boys versus Rodney Mack and Christopher Nowinski was a fairly dull match. Obviously they look to be playing the race card even further which is never entertaining from my viewpoint. Im looking for the Dudley Boys to part ways again which should make for a thoroughly crappy storyline again. Kane and RVD dropped the titles to La Resistance which I think was actually a good thing because they will need both of these solid singles match guys to add depth to future pay per views and I felt that being a tag team took away from them both. Christian held on to his belt against Booker T by DQ and I'm not really sure where this line might be going as Christian is a hard sell as a Intercontinental Champion. Goldberg smacked around Chris Jericho for the win and though they said on the pay per view that they dont think the feud is over I am pretty sure that it is. Flair beat HBK with the help of Randy Orton which was actually a pretty entertaining match when all was said and done. Triple H retained his title in the hell in a cell match versus Kevin Nash much to my surprise as I though for sure that since they also met at the last pay per view they were sure to pass the torch this time. Makes you wonder if they will ever give the belt to anyone else.

Monkey Pox Virus
Well once again we have another ilness to spread panic. Now that Sars appears to be dropping off the radar theres a new concern with the Monkey Pox which is similar to Small Pox but not as potent. Apparently it has been spread by pet prairie dogs who came into contact with an infected rat from Africa, Ill avoid the opportunity to take a crack at Prairie Dog owners or people in the midwest or even the arcane combination despite the obvious potential here. The thing that I actually find most interesting is the great abillity to track and contain these outbreaks. Obviously 9/11 has had a huge impact on the healthcare community being on the look out for potential biological attacks and the rapid response is certainly a ramification of this alertness. Sure the publication of the ilnesses in the press probably causes some sense of stress in the public but on the other hand it has also improved the communication and effort put in to finding the source on these kinds of outbreaks and containing them quickly.

UFC, WWE, Life Etc.
Well the UFC was above average this past Friday. Couture surprised, not really, lots of people by taking the Light Heavyweight title. Really Randy winning any fight is no surprise and unlike Millitech moniving up weight I think Couture dropping down looks natural. He did what he does best and that was keep his opponent from playing his game. Chuck looked really ineffective in the fight. Yves Edwards also put on a hell of a fight beating Eddie Ruiz both standing and on the ground. With his last couple of fights he has put on a hell of a show and I think he is blossoming into a top notch fighter. Ian Freeman and Vernon White fought to a draw but I was impressed with Tiger White as he was really a light heavy fighting a heavyweight. I look forward to seeing him more in the UFC. I am also hoping that Freeman drops to light heavy as he looked really gassed in this fight. Matt Linland got credit for knocking himself out but really I give credit to his opponent Falaniko Vitale who turned while being slammed and Matt got knocked out in the process. Wes Sims got dq'd against Frank Mir in what turned out to be the oddest moment of the night after Sims stood up on Mir and couldn't think of anything to do other than stomp which got him dq'd. Vitor Belfort looked like the Vitor of old as he came out and destroyed a tough Marvin Eastman with ahuge knee which literally split open his skull. Vitor is a bible thumping, well not just bibles, machine as he has obviously become a born again christian with long curly hair. It was like looking at a totally different man than the Vitor of old which may be great for fight fans.

The WWE has finally broken down the pay per views to Brand level with Bad Blood being the first with the Raw talent. While the card looks a little thin i expect some added matches this week to add some meat to the pay pre view this Sunday. Kevin Nash looks awesome but I hope he has the stamina to last through a hell in a cell match with HHH who alsways has high standards for his matches. I figure Mick Foley is like an insurance policy to keep things interesting.

Stuff in General
Well its been a few days since I last updated you all. Im jazzed about the Pride next week. UFC features Couture vrs Liddell for some messed up version of the light heavy title. Also fight are Ian Freeman vrs Vernon White, Tank Abbott vrs Kimo Leopoldo, Vitor Belfort vrs Marvin Eastman, Frank Mir vrs Wes Sims, Matt Lindland vrs Falaniko Vitale, Pedro Rizzo vrs Tre Telligman and Yves Edawrds vrs Eddie Ruiz. As always I am really looking forward to this show but the fight this week other than Coulture vrs Liddell might be Pride's Heath Herring vrs Mirko Filipovic. Also on the Pride card is Antonio Schembri, Anderson Silva, Alistair Overeem vrs Mike Bencic, Quinton Jackson vrs Mikhail Illoukhine, Mark Coleman vrs Don Frye, and Champ Fedor Emilianenko vrs Kazuyuki Fujita. Coleman Frye is sure to have plenty of fireworks as well as both these guys put on a great fight.

Well I have found another item to add to my wishlist as I came across the Frontier Labs NEX IIe MP3 Player which uses Compavt Type I flash memory as does my coolpix 2100 camera. The Nex IIe also doubles as a protable hard drive if you wish to use it as so. I haven't priced it out but as always it looks like a perfect fit.

Yesterday I took my wife's van in for service and came across the Chrysler Pacifica which looks awesome. I like the fact that it seems to break boundaries as it looks like part van, part suv, and part station wagon. It seats seven and has all the luxurious amenities one could want.

Until later!
