Catching Up
Well as you can see I have definitely been slacking as of late on the old posts. I am taking two classes this summer session and they are wearing me out. My Management class has required more from me than any other class that comes to mind except for maybe my senior CIS classes. To be honest though the management game that we are playing has been fun and really realistic in feel. It has really been a great experience just that I feel overworked having to do two classes in the same session. But at worst I will be done with school in a couple of weeks and wont have to take any more classes. The World Cup Final was exciting as once again Brazil proved to be the dominant soccer nation of the world by beating Germany 2-0. Well looks like I might be going to citywalk today, have never been.

Slacking on the Job!
Sorry I havent been updating with everything that has been going on.

The King of the Ring pay per view was strong this past Sunday. I was actually pleased that they are pushing Brock Lesnar and even happier that he has now actually uttered a few words. The cruiserweights started things off so I will start there. Jamie Noble beat Hurricane Helms. This was a good match and I like the trailer trash story line that Jamie and Nydia are putting together now. The King of the ring matches were next. RVD vrs Y2J was a strong match but Test vrs Brock stole the show. WWE should really see if they can push these two into some kind of rivalry. I am hoping that Brock will fall out with Heyman and Brock will turn face but we shall see. Hogan vrs Angle was a good match, and I wasnt particularly pleased with Molly vrs Trish. Taker and HHH was great. The Rock interference by accident angle will probably lead to HHH joining the NWO and feuding with Rock down the road. I have a feeling thats why they had Taker retain the belt. I really like the push of Jeff Hardy against Taker on Raw and really look forward to the ladder match if it comes to fruition. I dont think Jeff is undisputed champ material yet but he could definitely fall in the Intercontinental Title level of competition.

The UFC had a non pay per view show this weekend with Belfort vrs Liddel as the main event. Liddel won the battle by decision. It makes me wonder what is UFC going to do with a champ who wins most of his fights by decision. “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler beat Steve Berger and is quickly growing into an octagon superstar. This was teh key match to be televised on Fox's best damn sports show as well as highlights from the other matches. Tony Fryklund got a stoppage versus Rodrigo Ruas, Benji Radach decisioned Nick Serra, Yves Edwards knocked out Joao Pierini, and Pete Spratt armbared Zach Light for the submission to finish it off. Othe than the main event and Lawler vrs Berger nost of these guys are relatively unlnown and had a chance to shine in a big event. UFC is trying to slip further into the mainstream by having these matches on Fox with educated commentators and interviews. Looks liek nothing but good stuff ahead for my favorite sport!

WWE Raw
Well the wrestling tomight was awesome. I really enjoyed the new Booker T push as a good guy. I always liked Booker in WCW when he was a face. The Booker versus the NwO line looks interesting to say the least. The return of the Rock tonight was the highlight of the evening. He has a way of lighting up a crowd and while Im sure he wasnt just there to get the crowd up as much as the wrestlers in the locker room after the shock of stone cold walking out on the company this week. The King of the Ring Pay per view this week should be really good. Taker versus HHH will be awesome as these two perform really well together and work their asses off to entertain. Hogan vr.s Angle will be reall interesting as well. Hogan was much better at the last pay per view and I look forward to seeing how Hogan performs this time around. The King of the Ring should be even more interesting now that the winner gets a shot at the Title at Summer Slam. I have a feeling Brock Lesnar will get the push though he doesn't get much mike time and Im not sure that he has the mike skills to carry a belt yet. While Heyman does a great job of doing his talking I am interested in seeing what this guy has to say and how well he will do it. Guerrero versus Flair doesn't look very exciting to me but I guess as an afterthought it might be interesting. Until later!

USA USA USA! Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole!
The United States played an outstanding game last night against Mexico. Mexico was one of my favorites as well but when it comes down to my home country I take sides for sure. It was frustrating to watch Mexico resort to playing what resulted as dirty ball. Cuahtemoc Blanco played like an ass tackiling hard and trying to start fights all over the place. Thats okay though, because even though they seemed to prefer to hurt my boys and the ref was showering yellow cards on them all game long, they persevered and held on for the whole 90 minutes to move on to the quarter finals. I dont hold out much hope for them against Germany but they have played them tough before and I wouldn't put anything passed them now. For those of you who were totally shocked by the US win tonight look at the recent history!

Stone Cold Steve Austin
Well it looks like Steve Austin really messed up this past week and we won't be seeing him on WWE anymore. Apparently he was pissed off with the way things were going with the WWE and his character development and walked out on the Monday show leaving town without telling anyone. There were some really candid interviews with Vince McMahaon and Jim Ross basically saying that Stone Cold wont be back. Wonder what they were planning on doing with his character? Oh well to be honest there are so many young bucks ready to step up that I think the shock wont be long lived. Hate to see you walk out on your career and hope you find work with another outfit, if there is one.

KROQ Weanie Roast
Well I leave this years Weanie Roast web cast with mixed emotions. As always KROQ had a great lineup scheduled to play and the performances were awesome. The performers who stood out were Jack Johnson, Papa Roach, Rob Zombie, Moby and POD. Other bands who made up the rest of the bill were Hoobastank, Newfound Glory, and The Strokes. Now for the two bands I am most disappointed about not having seen on the webcast Incubus and System of a Down. According to the website these two bands had not signed on for the webcast which pisses me off because they were sure as hell billed up until today when I logged on and there was no mention that we wouldn't get to see them until POD started the last set. Now I hate to sound bitter because they did put on a top notch show but I fell in love with KROQ due to their semiannual concerts and this one was not up to the par of the rest. Hopefully they will come out on Monday and explain why System and Incubus weren't on the webcast. Odd but I developed a like for Incubus after having heard them at Acouxtic Christmas another KROQ webcast concert. Oh well stuff happens and me being disappointed won't change anything.

World Cup Fun
Well my boys played like crud today. They lost to Poland 3-1 and would have not qualified for the round of sixteen had it not been for Korea beating Portugal. Atleast thats what they said on the news but it seems to me that the US had a better goal dif anyways, and the Korea game just eliminated the tiebreakers. Now I root for the US first and foremost but I also root for Mexico as they are also from this part of the world and I am familiar with their soccer.

Back up at last
Well I have changed hosts again. Actually I just stopped hosting my own stuff because it got to be a pain. I will be putting in some time to make the site look presentable but have been overwhelmed with school as of late. Enjoyed the fight on Saturday immensely and was impressed with how Tyson handled himself after the fight. Lakers need to find someone capable of competing with them; note to NBA it would be great if that team were in the East so the finals wouldn't be so damn boring. Soccer has been awesome at the worldcup, and I am waiting on pins and needles to see how the US does. They are going to have a tough match no matter waht when / if they make the round of sixteen though because neither Mexico nor Italy are slouches. Favorite has to be Brazil then Germany and Spain. Mexico and the US are the two teams I am rooting for though. Anyways, until later!
