Fantasy Basketball
Damn managed to sneak into my leagues playoffs in the last week jumping from 7th and out of the playoffs to 5th and in like Jim. Damn fantasy basketball has become a freaking addiction. Every Sunday night I have to get my research in for my lineup but really I am completely outclassed with 9 other ballers playing who know way more about the sport than I do. Oh well lets see how I do?

Windows Vista comes in six flavors?
Vista Starter -- Streamlined version meant for low-powered PCs in developing nations.
Vista Home Basic -- For those content to browse the web, use email, and create and edit basic documents from their PC. Includes destop search and security tools.
Vista Home Premium -- Includes everything in Basic but also includes the Aero graphical interface, Media Center functionality, and ability to connect to Xbox 360. The version most of us will own at home.
Vista Business -- The basic version for companies of all sizes with tools to help organizations manage their PCs.
Vista Enterprise -- Includes everything in the basic business version with improved encryption and BitLocker system to keep data from being read on a stolen computer.
Vista Ultimate -- All the features of Home and Business in one.
Why tempt me so?
You know its just not fair. I madly infatuated with theTreo 700 with Windows Mobile . I found out yesterday that I could use it for work for GoToMyPC.com remote access. Then today I find out that I can watch my slingbox media on it too. Wow productivity inspiring ability when I am away from work and productivity sapping ability when I am there.

Swiss Business Tool
I dont usually get excited by office supplies but even this thing has some geek appeal. Its really pricey though $90 for a stapler, hole punch, staple remover, blade, scizzors, and nail file. They even have an interactive demo of the the thing.

Well after driving past a billboard every day and seeing the commercials for PokerStars.net I finally broke down and gave it a try and wasted most of the night playing. Its pretty cool.

Casa sol de Oriente
I was watching the travel channel while we were cruising through the doctor's dining room at work today and they were doing a bit on Costa Careyes Mexico and in particular the Casa Sol de Oriente. There is a twin to this house called Casa Sol de Oesete. Apparently the area has been developed by Itialians so it has a very Mexican and European feel to it. I really like these houses because the pools function almost as much as landscaping as they do a pool. The house is muck like an island in this beautiful pool. The 11,000 sq foot house has 6 bedrooms and rents out for 5000 us dollars a day.

Frank Shamrock Returns
So Frank Shamrock returned and handled a overwhelmed Cesar Gracie. Wow I happen to be a big fan of Frank I wonder if he has been away too long to be a true threat though it sounds like he might be creeping back into action as there is rumored potential match up with Sakuraba. I personally would love to see it but I would also like to see him take on Rich Franklin and possibly avenge his big brothers loss?

Ecocontempo Prefab
As you know I am a big fan of prefab housing just not the stuff that you see tornados gobbling up every year. Ecocontempo has some really nice plans in all steel buildings that are 70% recyclable. I really like the cube even though there are more extravagant plans on the site.

UFC 58
Wow what a great show last night. I am impressed with the UFC beyond belief and the news keeps getting better and better. Sounds like the old UFC has found a home in California for its events but I'll get back to that. The night started off with Yves Edwards, who is one of my favorite lightweight fighters, taking on Mike Hominick who it seemed the odds were stacked against as he was moving up for 145 and facing the man many thought was the uncrowned king of the UFC's 155 pound division. Turns out Hominick had a surprise for me as he basically out yves'd yves with a blazing standup game that actually caused yves to take him down for a change of pace. Now even though hes shown some flashes of skill on the ground Hominick was able to sink in a triangle that was really slow to set up but got the job done. In the second match of the pay per view Nathan Marquardt the former 7 time king of Pancrase who had a yawner of a debut against Ivan Salaverry was matched up against a very game Joe Doerkson. Marquardt seemed to be a different fighter this time showing a lot agression while standing but still not able to do much on the ground. The decision went to Marquardt who when asked who he wanted to face asked for a shot at the belt. The next matchup was one of the main events and was between BJ Penn and George St. Pierre for another shot at Matt Hughes and the Welterweight title. Bj emphasized the fact that he thinks hes still the champ by wearing his Welterweight belt out to the arena though he did take it off on the way down. The fight lived up to its billing and BJ took it to George in the first round opening upa couple of cuts and seeming to do all of the damage. In the second and third rounds though it was a seesaw battle which saw St. Pierre score more takedowns which BJ promptly got up from and in a blaze at the end of the third round BJ showed his flexibility by attempting a gogoplata but he wasn't able to lock it in and the decision was rendered St. Pierre by split decision. In the next match Mile Swick took on Steve Vigneault in another middleweight matchup. Swick who had one his two previous fights in around 20 seconds had to work a little harder this time taking 2 minutes before he caught his opponent in a guillotine choke to take the win. In the main event Rich Franklin defended his Middleweight title against David Loiseau and his notorious elbows. Franklin however had made it clear going in he could deal with elbows and then went on to show everyone not only his skill but also his heart. He clearly dominated Loiseau and it turns out that in the second round broke his left hand but still went on to batter his oppenent the remaining three rounds to score a unanimous decision and retain his belt.
The show was great and I really enjoyed the end product. However despite the fact that the show was awesome the news that probably excited me the most was the location of UFC 60 which is going to be held at the Staples Center. Hopefully I can score the tickets from work to watch the fight, I dont think there are too many UFC fans at work.

Marmol Radziner Prefab
I have been wasting a lot of productive time over at marmolradzinerprefab.com. Basically they are a company that builds high end prefab houses and they have a configurator so you can configure all the option much like when you are buying a car.
