The future of displays is this one says Yahoo on its Tech Tuesday web site. The seamless display is actually multiple displays almost fused together in a semicircle around the user. The nice part about this display is that it doesn't just make the display bigger but also allows for more real estate for one to work on. It is truly like having four displays to use at once. The concept is an awesome one and the only thing I wonder about is where is one going to get the video firepower to drive one of these. I have tried checking them out at www.seamlessdisplay.com but the site was down from the increased bandwidth. Apparently they didn't realise they were going to be so popular.

Life in General
Well its another exciting day in paradise. I have finally got my new laptop going though I think I might be putting Windows 98 on it because 2000 seems to not run well on it. I take my insurance licensing exam on Friday. I'm nervous but what the heck.

Ebay
Hello my name is Don and I'm an Ebay addict. WTF. Who would have thought shopping for crap on Ebay would be so damn addictive. Now I know what your going to say that Ebay's been around for a long time and all that yeahdy yeahdy yeah. I know but I wasn't going to use it. I mean who wants to take a chance on someone elses used crap. Then as I was looking for a Hnadspring Treo it happened. I accidently showed up in an ebay auction and then next thing you know I won. Wow. Then I figured what the hell I want to see what laptops are going for and next thing you know I've bought a new in the box old IBM Thinkpad. Now the price was right for a older model computer P2 233mhz 32 mb ram but its new in the box so it should last me awhile. Of course it only has windows 95 and I want to upgrade it to Windows 2000 but I need more memory so guess where I turn. Oh my god its a viscious cycle. Now Im even thinking about selling on ebay. Actually I had thought about that a long time ago but just never got around to it. As for buying I still like to stick to new things. Never know how long an old used one might last. As for the system it is pretty much idiot proof. They even have a built in popularity contest after you buy something you rate the seller and boy do they get pissed if they get negative feedback. Not that I gave anyone any but I have read some that others post and they sure do get kind of sensitive.

Finally a workout I can use. Kilowatt is a gaming controller that also provides you with a workout. The manufacturer describes it as an intensely immersive game controller that transforms video game play into muscle burning sport. How do they do it?
We do this by harnessing the principles of Isometrics. We took the two thumbstick controls from the game controller blended them together and made it into a shoulder-height joystick. When you push it, sensitive strain gauge sensors measure the microscopic flex in the metal of the rod and microprocessor calculates how hard you’re pushing. kiloWatt measures force, rather than motion, so the reaction and game-play is more responsive than a normal controller. kiloWatt’s sensors are adjustable, in real-time, so the effort level can be made easy, brutal, or somewhere in-between.
