10/28/2008: "John, Rodrigo, and Gabriela"

Well it shaped up to be a hell of a week for my favorite music as I picked the new John Legend album Evolver and it appears to be another solid effort from Mr. Legend who seems like he can do no wrong musically. He's got some collaborations inluding Andre 3000 and Kanye West but maintains his style. I also picked up Rodrigo and Gabriela Live in Japan which has some solid work on it as well. I honestly believe they should focus on live albums because their jam style plays out better as far as energy in a live setting. There are some repeats from their studio album but enough new stuff to make it worth your while as well.
