Well I finally got see my I.F.L. production on Fox Sports Net today. I was really impressed with the production which was top notch much like an HBO boxing telecast. The fights were exciting despite the lack of name fighters except for Dennis Hallman who I recognised. While Im still not sold on the old team concept I really think the IFL has a lot of potential to succeed. The quality of their show would draw in a casual observer who was channel surfing. Last week they announced the addition of four more coaches; Matt Lindland, Carlos Newton, Antonio Inoki, and Mark Coleman. I can't help but wonder why Inoki but he muct be a huge draw for Japanese fans which would only be a good thing. With the existing four teams of Bas Ruten, Renzo Gracie, Pat Militech, and Maurice Smith it defintiely appears that the star power will be with the coaches and not the fighters. I'm really actually pretty excited for this league. The ring was a nice change from the octagon and like I said the production was great. There was plenty of action in the hour I had to watch and I really enjoyed the whole set up.
